What is it about Christmas songs that make us love them so? Is it the anticipation of something wonderful about to happen? Is it the memory of gathering together with friends and family to share a meal and good will? Is it the thought that just perhaps God might 'so love the world' that God would try a radical way to show it?
If any of these have the ring of truth for you, then to have an album of Christmas songs recorded at Camp Fowler by staff and campers makes sense.
Fowler is that place and time where wonderful things do happen. Where friends become family and the entire gathered group becomes a community. Fowler is where we remember that God is still moving through this world of wonders and that, because of the Christ child, we together can begin to incarnate the presence of God too.

The 2011 summer staff picked most of these songs and for a while it was like Christmas in August with echoes of Joy to the World and Silent Night sounding on the breeze. I even had to stop once to wonder if I just heard bird wings or angel wings. It's our hope that you enjoy this album as much as we did its making. May it remind you of camp during the cold season and be one of the lights that guide you on your way to the Christ.
